Well it’s Official! Aly Matravers and Denise Kersley’s Tiger Tim are again off to HOYS after qualifying at the Welsh Regionals, winning his ridden class and then going Supreme. Timmy has also continued to wow everyone at dressage, now competing at Elimentary at Kingston Maurward and getting 77% +.Well done guys, you are just unstoppable !!
According to the Horse and Hound there is now a Phenomenon called the “Tiger Tim Effect”
In their recently published article they state “There is definitely a Tiger Tim Effect, after the publicity given to Denise Kersley’s Traditional Stallion’s success at National Level in Novice Affiliated Dressage, several competitors from the “Hairy Classes” said they planned to try the discipline. H & H Predict that Rosie Wilson’s reserve supreme ridden pony Redwings Master Blaster -taken by the charity as a welfare case- and Kim Hodgeson’s Manivea Royal Doulton, ridden by Kelly Turpin are two to watch”
Well Rosie, there’s a challenge for you! Maybe we better come and show you some dressage saddles, the Cadence which Timmy uses in a smaller seat will fit Pongo a treat, nice to have two of our customers mentioned in the same article. Way to go Rosie and Pongo….
It’s been a busy month for Dean and I and please excuse my lack of posting ( and updating the diary etc!!) In May we have been to Portugal catching up with Emma Richards, James Reid and their Customers. Helena and Fenwick farm in Germany, not to mention the usual trips all the way up to Inverness via the North and Midlands, Right Round Wales and out to the South East as far as Norfolk.
It’s all been exhausting but very exciting with our new European Agents really getting going.
Buffy has been all round the Highlands,Down as far as Stirling and Fife and all the way up to Caithness for her usual Monthly visit, taking in some of the Islands as well.Kylie has been very busy down in Kent, Essex and Surrey and Kim has been getting you all ready for this years competitions in Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.
The new websites are now live, even if the content has not all been added but I will be hoping to find time to add more products and content over the next few months in between the shows and saddle fitting. We now have not only the main saddle exchange site but also Official brand sites for all our brands. It’s all very exciting.
We have also introduced some new saddles, a more secure version of the Comfort Seeker with more padded, supportive knee pads, used by Timmy and Aly for their HOYS qualifiers its proving very popular and the Evolution GPX, a more forward version of the Evolution Endurance. We are now working on the Evolution Pony and the first one is proving a success with the first test rider.
Diary Dates are now up for June, we are kicking off with a trip to Denmark for saddle fitting, a visit to Maj-Britt, an open day at Healthy Horse and a very exciting meeting with a high level, Danish Trainer who has expressed an interest in working with us… watch this space with regards to this one! We will also be fitting in the South East, starting off on the 26th and traveling along the south coast and taking in East Anglia and the M4 corridor on our way home to Somerset in the first few weeks of June, please see our diary for details.
We are also heading up for the Royal Highland Show, you will find us in our usual spot, opposite the Highland Pony Society near the Working Hunter Ring. The size of the stand has had to be increased this year to allow for all our new products to be displayed. So we will be saddle fitting all the way up the country as usual fitting in saddle fitting appointments in Mid and North Wales,Lancashire, Yorkshire, Cumbria, Northumberland, Lincolnshire and the Midlands as well as Scotland on our way to and from the show.
Please see our Diary for details
Anyway we are still in Germany and Dean’s been down stairs saddle fitting with Helena while I’ve been writing this and updating the websites so I guess I better go and do some wor.
