Open day at Pioneer Equestrian Coaching

April 30th, 2016

At Pioneer Equestrian Coaching we aim to give clients the information they need to help them to help their horses and ponies, helping you to navigate the increasingly complex equine world and to be able to communicate with the professionals you choose to have involved with your equines in an increasingly informed way. Everybody involved at Pioneer thinks that this information is sooo important that we need to make it accessible to everybody who is interested… This means that EVERYBODY is wecome, whatever your age or background, horse owner or riding school attendee, 4 yrs old or 104yrs old. We have deliberately kept the cost down too, so that tickets are £7.50 per person or £10 per couple or family, including lunch.

Our next event, on the 30th April, is a very exciting, educational and entertaining day with three speakers and a live demo. We will have Sue Buckley , our very friendly and knowledgeable Bowen therapist, talking us through how to spot potential problems with your horse or pony and what to do about it.

Then Dean and Gini Woodward, “The Native Pony Saddle Company, Comfort Saddles and Comfort Elite, The Pony Saddle Company and ReactorPanel Saddles” and can be found at http://www.saddleexchange.com/, are going to share with us the importance of good saddle fit and the difference it makes to your horse or pony, along with problems that can arise if there are saddle issues (and I believe that approximately 9 out of 10 saddles do not fit from what we see at Pioneer).

Just before we stop for lunch, as a biomechanics coach who has been using these methods for nearly 20 years, I will be giving you some simple tips to assess your own asymmetries and some fixes for them that will make you horse/pony much happier.

After lunch and and opportunity to ask questions and float ideas, we will be watching a saddle fit and asking Gini and Dean to explain, in the flesh, what we have been hearing about in the morning.

I have added some very clear before and after pictures of the differences we can help you to make. Unlike a lot of other riding coaching, good biomechanics teaching can easily be transferred to other sports and for people who are in pain as they ride, it can really make the difference between having to give up your hobby and being able to enjoy riding again.
